Sesame Beef Stir Fry

600 g rump stir-fry strips
20 ml vegetable oil
6 spring onions, cut into 5 cm lengths
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tbsp grated ginger
1 medium red chilli, sliced
1 tbsp kecap manis
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds


1 Combine beef, oil, garlic, ginger and chili. Cover and stand in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
2 Heat large non stick wok or frying pan to high heat.. Cook, beef mixture in 2 batches, stirring, for 5 minutes over high heat until well browned. Remove each batch as it is cooked.
3 Reduce heat to low. Add spring onions to pan with combined kecap manis and oyster sauce. Cook stirring for 2 minutes until heated. Return beef to pan. Cook for 1 minute. Add sesame seeds and serve.


1 Serve with steamed rice noodles.
